Don’t let the name fool you! Aquacare is not only aquatic therapy but much much more! At our Lewes Clinic, patients enjoy the benefits of an intimate setting. With 2 physical therapist’s and one exercise specialist, our patient’s see the same therapist each visit which enhances the continuity of care. Based on the initial evaluation, we will develop the best treatment plan to produce the optimum result. This may include aquatic therapy, physical therapy on land, or a combination of both. During aquatic therapy sessions, patient’s enter the pool via steps or chair lift. The pool temp is set to 92 degrees. The pool has both a shallow and deep end to allow us to maximize the buoyancy properties of the water to best serve the patient. On land, we spend a significant amount of time providing manual, hands-on treatment to restore proper joint mobility and function to return our patients to their normal activities of daily living with less pain and limitation. We individualize our treatment plans for each patient to maximize results in the shortest amount of time.
We treat a variety of orthopedics diagnoses and conditions including, but not limited to, fibromyalgia, chronic and acute neck & back pain, sports injuries, work injuries, auto injuries, rotator cuff injuries, arthritis, and pre- and post-operative rehabilitation including total joint replacement. We also treat a variety of women’s health issues including urinary incontinence!
