Aquacare Rehabilitation Services of Salisbury, Maryland is an outpatient physical therapy clinic focused on excellence in patient care. Through comprehensive evaluation, we develop an individualized treatment plan to address each client’s specific symptoms and functional deficits. Typically, each treatment plan will include manual therapy consisting of joint or soft tissue mobilization, manual traction, and/or some other hands-on technique(s). When combined with patient education and a proper exercise program we are able to restore function to our patient’s lives timely and effectively.
Our site commonly treats patients with a wide variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions/injuries. General orthopedics conditions we treat include: joint & muscular pain, tendonitis/bursitis, and many post-operative conditions. These injuries/conditions may stem from auto accidents, worksite injuries, sport-related injuries, genetic or hereditary disorders, or accidents occurring around the house.
Our staff stands out from others because we stay current in our clinical training. We have clinicians who specialize in a variety of areas including balance and vestibular rehabilitation; Women’s Health programming, including the treatment of pelvic pain and urinary incontinence, and aquatic therapy. In addition, we have programs designed for clients suffering from osteoporosis; diabetes, pre- and post-natal conditions, and fibromyalgia.
Our office, located on Milford Street, includes two warm water pools, a main gym area, and five private rooms. We also offer community programs including aquatic classes, personal training, and community swim & gym. These programs allow our patients to self-manage their conditions through exercises in the gym or in the pool following discharge. Continuing a program onsite, where clients have continued access to our clinicians, further assists them in preventing re-injury or new injuries in the future.
