Dr. James Fisher, PT has over 25 years experience working in the field of physical therapy. He received both his Master of Science in Physical Therapy and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Utica College. His experience covers a wide variety of settings, ranging from skilled nursing facilities to outpatient clinics. His experience also includes 8 years in the US Army performing physical therapy. He has attended numerous continuing education classes on a plethora of topics but specializes in musculoskeletal disorders. He previously spent 8 years with Fitness Forum as a staff member and returned in 2008 as the Regional Manager. Dr. Fisher has also obtained his Specialist Certification in Orthopedics from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. You can find Jim working full time in our Barneveld office!
Mary Onderko, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
Mary received her Associates Degree in Applied Science from Herkimer County Community College in 2014 and is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. She has experience working in wound care and in an outpatient orthopedic setting, treating common musculoskeletal injuries. She has been trained in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy for the spine and extremities and has received her Advanced Proficiency Pathways Certification in Orthopedics. Dr. Kimberly Strong PT, FMT
Kim received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Utica College in 2008 and has been working with Fitness Forum since 2009. Dr. Strong has extensive experience in musculoskeletal and neuromuscular physical therapy. She has been trained in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy for the spine and extremities, Vestibular Rehabilitation through the American Institute of Balance, and various other continuing education courses. Kim has received her Functional Movement Technique (FMT) Basic and Blades Certification, with extensive training in the use of elastic therapeutic taping and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. Dr. Strong lives in New Hartford with her family. You can find Dr. Strong working in our Rome office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Dr. Erik Nassif PT, Cert MDT
Clinic Manager - Rome
Erik is a 2007 graduate of Utica College with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He is credentialed in and has extensive experience with the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy for the Spine and Extremities. Dr. Nassif also has a special interest in helping patients return to sport following injury. When he's not working, you can find Erik on the golf course! Dr. Nassif works full time in our Rome office.
Dr. Jennifer Kean, PT
Jennifer received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017 from Utica College. Dr. Kean has experience in treating musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions in outpatient settings, as well as experience in long term care physical therapy. Outside of work she loves spending time outdoors and enjoying live music. She is also fluent in sign language. You can find Jennifer working full time in our Rome office!
Dr. Justin Murray PT, Cert MDT
Clinic Manager - Camden
Justin earned his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Utica College in 2007. He has worked for Fitness Forum for the past 13 years between various sites and is now settled in as the Clinical Director in the Camden office. He brings 13 years of experience treating patients in the outpatient/sports setting. In 2018, Justin completed extensive training and a rigorous credentialing examination to achieve his certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (McKenzie method). He has also taken numerous other post-graduate training courses focusing on outpatient/orthopedics. Outside of the office, Justin resides in Holland Patent with his wife Sarah and 3 children-Kylee, Landon and Carson.

Heather is a 2011 graduate of Herkimer County Community College, earning an Associates Degree in Applied Science. She joined the Fitness Forum team in 2011 as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. You can find Heather working in our Camden office!
Dr. Marissa Rocci-Armstrong PT, OCS
Clinic Manager - New Hartford (ARPT)
Marissa received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Utica College in 2007 and has been working at ARPT since 2008. She has experience working with orthopedic and sports injuries across all age groups. Marissa is an adjunct faculty member of Utica College's Doctor of Physical Therapy program. She currently serves as the Physical Therapist for Hamilton College Athletics and the rest of the student body. She has obtained her Specialist Certification in Orthopedics from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. You can find Marissa working full time in our New Hartford office!
Dr. Kristin Cappelli PT, Cert MDT
Kristin is a 2006 graduate of Utica College, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She is credentialed in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy for the spine. Her experience includes orthopedic and sports injuries with special attention to running injuries. She also has some experience with short term and long term rehabilitation diagnoses and treatment. Karla Langheinrich, MSPT
Karla received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy Degree in 2001 from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She has experience in, and loves working with pediatric patients. She also has experience working in sub-acute rehabilitation as well as orthopedic physical therapy. In addition to her many talents, Karla is fluent is Spanish! You can find Karla working in our New Hartford office!
Dr. Judy Spilka PT
Judy is a licensed physical therapist who received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May 2014 from
Utica College. Since Judy has begun working at Fitness Forum, she has developed a multitude of
therapeutic approaches including manual soft tissue mobilization for treatment of spinal injuries and
tendonitis. Judy is trained in utilizing assisted tools for “IASTM” treatment of scar tissue and chronic pain.
Also, Judy provides an exercise program and stresses the importance of a home exercise program to
maximize patient outcome in a short period of time. She is experienced in an array of musculoskeletal
conditions and populations and will be happy to assess your impairments with a fresh pair of ears!
On her own time, Judy is an avid hiker. She loves to hike with her mother and twin brother, Chris. She is currently attempting to hike all 46 high peaks of the Adirondacks to become what is known as an
“Adirondack 46er”. Furthermore, Judy participates in triathlons and completed the Tinman in June of
2019. Come to our Manlius office to hear her tales as she gets you pain free and back to full function!
Jessica Massimino Shelton, MSPT
Jessica is a practicing physical therapist in our Liverpool and Manlius offices! Jessica has experience in outpatient orthopedic Physical Therapy and significant experience in balance and vestibular rehabilitation. She graduated from Misericordia University in 2012 and has completed continuing education in various courses including the Athletic Foot and Ankle, SI Joint Assessment and Treatment and the Athletic Shoulder. Her skills include assessment and treatment of vestibular disorders including BPPV and vertigo, pre/post operative treatment of orthopedic procedures and joint replacement therapies, conservative management of orthopedic diagnoses and assistance in return to work, recreational, and athletic activities.
Dr. Alexander Baldwin PT
Alex Baldwin graduated in 2018 from SUNY Upstate with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He enjoys treating patients of any age and has particular interest in back pain and sports injuries. He has continuing education on chronic pain as well. He is trained in multiple treatment approaches and techniques and tries to use the best evidence when selecting treatments to maximally restore function. He has experience working with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Outside work Alex is a passionate hiker, weightlifter, and runner. He has climbed the 46 high peaks in the Adirondacks and joined the 46ers club. He goes up to the mountains regularly and is on his way to completing the 46 for a second time! You can find Alex working in our Liverpool and Manlius offices!

Kari has been in the medical field for over 20 years and with Fitness Forum since 2010. She is currently in her last year of school to receive her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Healthcare Management. Outside of work, Kari enjoys spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys restoring and rebuilding old items she finds at flea markets and antique stores around CNY. Kari is our Regional Administrative Manager and coordinates administration for all clinics.

Rebecca is the administrator in our Barneveld office.
Administrator - Rome
Liz graduated in 2012 from Utica College with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. With 7+ years of working in the medical field, Liz enjoys interacting with patients as they come and go, and seeing their progress as they heal.
Outside of the office, you can find Liz on the softball field or spending time at home with her fiancé, Courtney, and her bulldog, Gus.
Liz is the office administrator in the Rome office.
Administrator - Manlius/Liverpool
Kerri received her certification in Medical Billing and Coding from Cayuga Community College and has been working in the healthcare industry for 10 years. Kerri is the administrator in our Manlius office and provides support for our Liverpool office as well. Kerri and her partner Charles enjoy motorcycle rides, boating, and day trips to various waterfalls in New York State.
